Our journey

From a Nairobi technical-training shop to a 14-city regional partner.

  1. 2016

    Founded in Nairobi

    Started as a specialist technical-training shop helping East African operators close skill gaps in finance, ops and compliance.

  2. 2018

    Expanded across Kenya

    Open-enrolment cohorts started running in Nakuru, Mombasa and Kisumu alongside Nairobi.

  3. 2019

    Crossed into East Africa

    First intakes in Kigali, Kampala, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam and Arusha — the regional footprint that still anchors our calendar.

  4. 2020

    Pivoted to a holistic model

    Shifted from single-topic technical courses to integrated workplace-transformation programmes built around outcomes, not hours.

  5. 2021

    Into Southern Africa

    Launched intakes in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria — opening a corridor that now anchors a third of our annual cohorts.

  6. 2023

    Became Ideal Workplace Solutions

    Rebranded to reflect the shift from training vendor to end-to-end workplace transformation partner — consulting, advisory and learning under one roof.

  7. 2023 – 2024

    First Middle East & West Africa intakes

    Established operating presence in Dubai and Accra to serve clients running cross-regional cohorts.

    14 cities. 12,000+ alumni.

    Latest cohort numbers cement IWS as a regional leader with a calendar that runs every working week of the year.

What we believe

Training only matters if it changes Monday morning. Our cohort size, post-programme support and facilitator bench are all calibrated against that single test.

Most of our work is bespoke — written specifically for the client's sector, regulatory environment and decision-makers. The open-enrolment catalogue you see on this site is the smaller half of what we actually run.

We are not a content shop. Every facilitator we put in front of a cohort has run, scaled or audited the function they teach — typically for 10+ years.

Programmes evolve in-flight as facilitators read the room. We treat the syllabus as a hypothesis, not a contract.

Every facilitator we put in front of a cohort has run, scaled or audited the function they teach — typically for ten years or more.

Integrity

We say what we measured, in the units we measured it in. No vanity stats, no padded NPS. The audit trail is the proof.

Innovation

We treat training as a product: instrumented, post-mortemed, iterated. Last year's syllabus is the starting line, not the finish.
